Front Suspension Upgrade to Existing 4" lift 1996 F250
Hello All.
My 1996 F250 XLT 4X4 7.5 liter is undergoing some renovations (New engine and trans). While she's on the lift, I want to upgrade the front suspension.
Currently it has a 4" suspension lift (leaf springs) installed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe there is a difference between a 7.3L Diesel suspension kit and a 7.5L gasoline kit (heavier springs on the diesel kit to compensate for the additional weight of the motor?) Anyway, I believe my truck has the diesel springs installed (by previous owner) which amounts to a front suspension on my truck that does not budge...
So, I am considering removing these leaf springs and installing a shackle reversal kit with a new set of OEM leaf springs hanging from them.
The kit I'm looking at is: https://www.4wdfactory.com/store/pro...-Reversal.html)
By design, this shackle kit incorporates a 3" lift. Unfortunately I can't find a kit that incorporates a 4" lift. If I'm using OEM springs, how can I gain the additional 1" of lift to equal 4" total between the shackle kit and springs?
Or is there something painfully obvious that would be better.. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Incorrect. Same lift of the 7.3 diesel and 7.5 big block. The SMALL back got the lighter springs.

You are NOT to use a RSK and TTB. RSKs are for Solid axles
The kit I'm looking at is: https://www.4wdfactory.com/store/pro...-Reversal.html)
SKY said for YEARS that you could not use RSK with TTB then they must have seen how much money they were missing out on and changed their wording.
Ford specifically put the shackle in the front FOR THE TTB. Just look at pre 1980 trucks and post 1997 trucks
