Intercooler Piping Kits

I am looking to upgrade the intercooler piping on my 6.7 and there are a couple options out there. I know that only the cold side piping needs to be replaced for reliability reasons. Anyone have any feedback or experience with the following kits:

1. H&S Cold Side kit that replaces the butterfly valve.
http://hs-motorsports.com/misc-produ...e6119e54acfb66

2. AFE cold or hot side piping. Are their gain claims valid?
http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...icle&make=Ford Diesel&model=F-350&year=2014&engine=6.7L&diesel=true&menu=diesel& brandID=58

3. Absolute Performance cold side kit.
http://www.absoluteperformanceco.com...&product_id=54

4. Mishimoto Piping Kit
http://www.mishimoto.com/ford-6-7l-p...ot-kit-11.html

Will there be any gain other than reliability with any of these kits? AFE is claiming flow and hp/tq gains.
Is there any gain by removal of the butterfly valve that H&S and Absolute can remove?

Thank you in advance!

Not really any noticeable performance gains. Most run the H&S kit. Make sure you get the right one though. The kit that deletes the throttle valve has to have tuning to run. Reliability is the biggest factor with this upgrade.

I won't have to do any additional tuning with the MiniMaxx though, right? It's already un-plugged.

Trying to bump once more to see if anyone has experience with any of these other than the H&S before I pull the trigger. Thanks in advance.

I noticed the Absolute kit says that it requires a PCM flash. The Mishimoto kit can also be had in the cold side only for $350 and no flash required.

Does the ruptured cold side intercooler pipe problem continue into the 2015 models? If so, can it be patched with duct tape to get you back on the road?

That is correct. The H&S and Absolute kits allow tuned vehicles to remove the butterfly valve that is un-plugged with tuning anyways.

As far as I know, the tube is still plastic on the 2015s.

I see that H&S also has the OEM replacement without a tuning requirement. It is also $350 like the Mishimoto.
H&S has a photo of a burst OEM pipe and it looks like it would be difficult to patch with duct tape.
It's possible that wrapping with duct tape prior to rupture may help it last longer.

Be sure to get the OEM replacement kit if you go with the H&S kit as others mentioned (there's two on their website) so no tuning required.
