Did some actual work today! As well as had more parts show up.

Got my new extended shocks for the 2" lift im putting on the truck. As well as the 9/16 lug nuts.

Took my dana 60 kingpin hubs and drilled out the holes so I could press in the bigger studs. Turned out perfect!

I also took some 1" bar and cut them down to 3.5" pieces for the steering box mounts through the frame. I chamfered the edges a bit as well. Bored a hole to just fit a 7/16 bolt with a tiny bit of wiggle room (.04).

And for you vintage bike fans, here is a early 70s BSA that was a real race bike that the new owner wrecked. Starting from scratch to put it together basically at my friends shop. My buddy does amazing work. I myself am a vintage café racer guy if I had to choose a bike so I think this style is cool.

Good progress! Did you figure out why the rotors wouldn't fit?

Yes and no. All I can figure is orielly and napa don't have dana 60 kinpin rotors in the system. So I ordered rotors at orielly for a 96 f350 dana 60. Going to see if they fit. If not ill order from bronco graveyard... The hub assembly on the dana 60 is bigger then the rotor hat on the 44.lol

I have a feeling those will work fine. As long as you are in the standard years. 1996 and older.

More progress! I am rebuilding the dodge A518 transmission myself. Its amazing the prices shops get to do tranny work. Its not that hard...

And i scored this today. 1994 2500 with a cummins. Bad transmission but got it all for $1600! Engine purrs and has 0 turbo play which is a really good sign. So now i have a spare engine at home :P Ill be saving this for a later project or rebuild it and drop it in my truck down the road.

Starting to get momentum going. Pulled the cummins out of my parts truck. So now i have a 1st gen cummins engine and a 2nd gen engine to play with

My new leaf springs for my lift get here this week and i needed to get my truck up off the old axles. So i started making some beefy jack stands today.

And then got to this point for tonight

Next step will be to install my new axles and lift kit and then in a few more weeks the 428 comes out and the cummins goes in!

Yea haha. Now the issue is dealing with craigslist flakes! Trying to get rid of the bed, cab, and rolling chassis. All priced to sell but people flake the hour before they are supposed to get the stuff.

Gotta love em! I love the ones that agree on a price and then try to knock you down in person. I've told so many of them to pound sand it's not even funny.

My favorite is what's the lowest you will take? I throw them a #. And then ok sounds good I really don't need anything thanks though....

I hate craigslist at times.

Well as many of you know by my other thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ng-review.html my springs showed up totally wrong so that really set me back in my plans. Will be discussing the goof with the shop owner tomorrow and that will dictate when ill have a new set....

Moving on though. So in the meantime I ran out to Cummins Pacific and picked up a full lower gasket set and then the valve cover seals so I can reseal and paint my diesel.

More goodies keep arriving! Since ill be running an automatic transmission I need really good cooling. The death of the early dodges are the transmissions. So temperamental. So this bad boy should do the trick!

Then today all these parts came in from WFO, speedway motors, and craigslist. Tach and tach install kit, DOM tubing for the drag link, smaller DOM for the Np205 shifter, bungs, little heim joints, and stainless power steering hoses and fittings.

Looks like a nice bike! I'm a big Honda atv fan, I grew up riding a Big Red 3 wheeler and before kids spent a lot of time on my 400ex. They run forever.

Nice parts and nice little bike.

Eventually I'll do another CB750.
