I have a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport, it is rusting around the fuel door. I have been searching for a repair panel, but no one offers anything even close. I have found various panels that are for a 4 door model but I am not sure the body style between the two will match up in than around the fuel door area. Can anyone tell me if they have repaired this area on a sport, and if so where did you find the panel.

Doubt you'll find a specific panel for that area, you might just have to buy some sheet stock and cut to fit. How bad is the rust? If you need the pocket and door area, you might have to goto a local yard that can cut that section out for you to patch into your truck.
