I would like to do an axle swap to gain disc brakes. I have a line on a low pinion Dana 44 from a 76 f250 4x4 for a great price. It is missing all the steering components though. Can I use my closed knuckle axle as a donor?

In addition, can I get a no nonsense parts list? I've read I will need a new brake booster. Which one do I need...ect? I would be great to make a run to NAPA with a list.
