Which 2012 F-250 to buy?

Those prices have to be for a used diesel. Which are still to high. I just bought a new 2016 after looking for a month and a half for a used truck (2012-2014, with 50K or less miles) I gave up because the the used prices are to high and the dealers wouldn't budge so for $4000 more bought new. Keeping in mind when I'm searching I'll look outside the state where I am and get on a plane if I have to to go purchase it. Good look with your truck hunt it can get aggravating at times.

Diesel and 4 wheel drive... had been VERY HIGH for a few years.
the transmission and rear end are the same.. Gas and Diesel.
I went gas and 2 wheel drive... and gave 12,000 out the door.
I would LOOK at New because of the prices..
My opinion.

23k miles less and a $1800 savings seems like a no brainer to me. You can easily add skid plates, better shocks and a rear limited slip or locker of your choice .

All,
Thanks for the advice. I do agree that the prices seem a little steep for a 3.5 year old truck with over 50k miles. I plan on doing some serious negotiations or looking at new. Anyway, I think I have my heart set on the F-250 with the 6.7L.
If anyone has heartburn with their 6.7L please send me a message or add to this thread. Thanks.

Yeah, run from those prices! Even with a 6.7L those would be mid 30's trucks here, and the market is skewed for the 4x4 and diesels due to climate. You can do better than that.
Where are you located? (Makes a big difference in pricing, i can drive 5 hours south for 4K less in price easily.)

when I buy and your comparing used. its the nicest shaped one with less miles, is what I would pick.
I have an XLT Fx4 is nothing more than a sticker, skid plate, and rancho shocks, which suck anyways.
truck #2 might still have some warranty left as well, which is something to think about.
Also truck number one is probably two years away from a lot of wear items coming up for replacement.
