Sorry, I'm still charging the flux capacitor in the Delorean to make the jump to 2106 and see...
Opinions are all over the place on tires. I'm still quite happy with my BFG T/A KO's. Although it seems to be quite popular lately to bad mouth those tires on the interwebs.
I would also run some serious ballast weight in the bed, like 1500-2000 pounds, will make it much easier to stay hooked up.
I bought Firestone WinterForce. E-rated tire, and it's studdable. It's aggressive enough to bite through deep snow, and the tread sipping grips packed snow and ice surfaces really well. Don't have to use 4wd to get up hills like I used to with OEM Michelin AT2
(For some reason, it's not allowing me to insert a picture today.)

Hard to beat the Blizzaks IMO as far as snow tires go. If you get 17" wheels, the tire choices are good, and relatively inexpensive. Keep in mind you'll need TPMS as well. Best AT tire I've experienced in the snow, is the Duratracs. Nothing is better than a dedicated snow tire though.
Hmm. Had not considered that. Thanks. I'm assuming that new wheels (rims) would also be needed as well?
It would be less of a headache.
I purchased a set of 17" Blizzaks, 4 black steel wheels, and 4 TPMS, mounted, balanced and delivered to me, for $100 over what it would have costed me for my original 20's. This way, you can just swap the wheels and tires, in the spring/winter yourself, versus paying every time to get them done.
