1992 Ford f150 xlt lariat 8.8 rear end problems??
I`m having an issue with some unwanted vibrations in my cab at around 40-60 mph it shakes the whole dash and the whole truck for that matter. I ve replaced driverside ball joints and ujoints. Also had bushing done in my radius arms. My mechanic checked out the u-joints in my shaft and they all seem fine After all this im still getting the vibrations and it only seems to happen when i maintain speed. The vibration seems to go away under load or deceleration. I have now begun to suspect the rear differential pinon n gears as it seems to be the next logical choice. Would replaicing the gears with an aftermarket set be worth my while if i take it all apart? What are some good products?

If you can rule out tire balance, and if you can rule out u-joints, I would have the drive shaft balanced.
I would not think a ring and pinion would be the cause. Typically you "hear" rear end problems more than you "feel" them...
But, for what it's worth, your symptoms match to the letter the symptoms I experienced prior to having a drive shaft u-joint failure.

thanks for the speedy response , and yes i have ruled out tires i have tried two different sets one recently balanced. I dont have any shop close to me for balancing nearest ones are 2 hours away , should i just use a driveshaft from a parts truck and what kind of damage can an unbalnced driveshaft create?
