2001 5.4L starts, dies after a minute.
Greetings,
My truck will sometimes start after sitting a while. Idles good, will bog down if you try to rev it. Pressure starts dropping off after about a minute, engine runs rough and dies. Fuel pressure 30 psi while it is running.
Used pressure relief button on gauge to get a sample of gas. Looked OK.
Looked for fuel pump driver module above spare tire. Not there. Does this vehicle have one? Where?
Any other thoughts?
A link to a wiring diagram would be a god send. I have searched to no avail.
Thanks, Ken L.

Those occurred to me also. I was looking for the fuel pump driver module to test both of those theories. There is a video on youtube explaining how to bypass the FPDM and verify operation. I would hate to drain the gas tank and replace the fuel pump needlessly.
Wasted the morning getting the spare tire down (lost key method) looking for the driver module.
I did draw off about a cup of gas while it was running. It looked normal.
I do NOT have any trouble codes.
I have the ability to monitor a plethora of live date via OBD2. Anyone know what the NORMAL throttle position angles are?
Should the fuel pump energize with the key in the ON(not running) position?
Thanks,
Ken L.
