Rear differential oil seal failure
Has anybody had oil seal failure on the rear differential at 35,000 miles?

yes 2009 f 350 18,000 miles no big deal 1 hr to fix drop drive line and pulls out from the front never had a issue after that 150,000 miles sold truck still held up just happens some times i was told

On my '99 it failed at about 40K miles. Cost $50 to replace, and hasn't failed since.

It happens. It's not an expensive fix either.
Often something gets wrapped around the shaft and can take out the seal. They are pretty robust however.
When driving through thick brush I usually stop for a few minutes to clean the shaft if necessary.

2011 f-350 cc short bed, happened at 80,000 miles. not to hard to replace.

My 11 350 had it at about 35k also, dealer swapped the seal its been fine for 25k.
