Think I'm close to pulling the trigger. Is 1100 reasonable for a sctx4 ss delete pipe, no limits egr block off?

Sounds like rudys is a pretty safe choice...any reason to look elsewhere?

I'm only looking at mostly stock deleted tunes.

You can get Gearhead tunes from Mike at No Limit. Those are the best tunes you can get on an X4.

I already have a MM race tuner. Does the EGR need to be deleted or blocked? Or can I just replace the CAT/DPF with a straight pipe?

You can just disable it. Block off plates are when you want to at an egt probe or if you want extra room take it out completely. I've ran it disabled then with block off plates until I put a new turbo on it then I just took it out.

Will just disabling it allow any soot to get through and clog it up?

I was just about to order the stuff to do this until I just noticed I have another radiator failure which will require another $800 minimum to replace. Second radiator in 64,000 miles. Unreal.

The way I understand it, the tuner will keep the exhaust valve in the closed position. So, the EGR won't see any soot. But the coolant will still flow through the EGR.

I'm having a tough time just finding a single tune for SCT x4. Don't need all 4 tunes just a single delete tune. Any ideas or does anyone know of a vendor to directly buy just one tune to delete? Thanks!

Why not all 4? I feel like it will be the same price regardless if you get 1 tune or 4.

I paid 900 for a minimaxx on Amazon. 176 for the pipes. H&S egt solution/egr block off plates 79(??). you will reuse one of your egt probes from the removed exhaust for the correct readings.

The whole conversion took about 90 minutes.

Leave the urea alone (Minimaxx ignores/turns it off). All removed connectors from the exhaust get bagged and ziptied out of the way for when you decide to convert back.

Does GearboxZ make a Simple programmer that only deletes regens & retains ALL stock settings like the one they had for the 6.4L ?

If so, is anybody running one ?

Deleted for only 500. Used SCT -80
Flo pro- 200
Custom tune-150
Egr plates- 40
Bottom block off plate bolts broke off I will have to drill and tap to fix... I would suggest to soak bolts over night it might help. If you need info on custom tune inbox me I I'll point you in right direction.

I still haven't got a tuner yet. Mainly due they money tree being a bit short.

I still search for tuners however.

I saw a tuner from PIP and replacement exhaust on eBay just shy of $800.

Anyone have any experience with a PIP tuner?

I know that some people are running a sct x4 tuner with PIP tunes but I've never seen the PIP tuner before.

This is just an opinion. In MY opinion, there are better tuning options out there than PIP. On an SCT device, Gearhead or IDP would get my vote.

Just want to say something here. If you are disabling your EGR, you better had buy block off plates or you can say goodbye to the valve when returning it to stock. The block off plates are cheap and take no more then 1hr to install and are cheap insurance that your EGR valve stays good while you have deleted.....
