Just curious as to how long I can expect the motor to last in the ol' truck. How many miles do you have on yours? I have 28K on my 02, and it's doing good so far.
Hey UK02 and Rock,
I have been away for a while so it's nice to see the 3.0 forum is growing strong. :0). As for the mileage on my 3.0, I am at 83,000 and running strong. You all take care.

My friend works for a company that had two of them that had 425,000 miles on them.Never had the engines worked on but the trans had been replaced a couple of times in both.
I have 185,000 miles on my 92, areostar 3.0 liter. As far as major repairs: replaced a timing chain and distributor (stator vanes hit the magnet inside distributor).
The automatic transmission is still going strong and shifting in the right places (knock on wood). I'm hoping the transmission will last awhile longer since the van was originally equiped with a transmission cooler.
I had 138,000 on my '92 when I traded it for my '97. I put 68,000 on the '97 before I traded it for a 2002 which now has 21,000. No engine problems whatsoever with any of them! The 3.0 OHV is one of the most reliable motors Ford has ever made.
