triton has been sitting 3 years. tips?
Hello i might be getting an E250 it has a V8 triton i am not sure if its a 5.4 or 4.6, but i do know it has been sitting for about 3 1/2 years and its gonna either be free or very cheap so i would like to get it running since there was nothing wrong with it when it was parked!
What i would like to know is will the spark plugs be even harder to remove since its been sitting? and if so what should i do before i take them out... soak them in penetrating oil? I really don't wanna break them since its an Econoline, and Econolines are a pain to just remove spark plugs! I don't even wanna try an remove broken ones!
any tips are welcome!!

first thing i would do is drain the gas tank, and flush the fuel lines and fuel rail to get as much of the bad gas out as possible. then put 10 gallons of fresh gas in the tank and try to get it running.
it will run like crap until you get all the bad gas out of the system and get the injectors cleaned.
once it is running ok then i would change the oil and filter, trans fluid and filter, plus the fuel filter.

My WAG would be plug removal shouldn't be any more difficult after so much sitting time. At any rate follow replacing the gasoline first before getting it running first.
Speaking of that depending on the climate where its been sitting should any sort of pre-starting steps be followed----like turning the crank by hand first?
