Tires - OWL or black sidewalls
Not a big deal to me but I'm curious. Most if not all LT tire manufacturers offer their tires either OWL (Outline White Letters) or as blackwalls. I currently have some Firestone OWLs which are at this time of year, pretty scuzzy. I'll need some new tires (probably not Firestones) as one has an ugly sidewall gouge almost to the cords and with pulling a fairly big 5th wheel trailer is suspect for safety.
With that said, which do you prefer, OWLs or black sidewalls? Why?

These are BW on my '31:
And OWLs on my truck:
I have LT tires on our 5th wheel that are OWLs but turned to the backside - and if I get them again for the truck, maybe I'll consider turning them around.
Sounds like it's about 50-50 OWL/BW based on my original OP question I'm still not sure on how I'll end up but am considering the identical LRR tire for my truck as the 5er (General Grabber HTS) andt they are only OWL
