What 15" steering wheel still works with turn signal cancel

The steering wheel on my 74 was busted up, it was about 16 or 17" in diameter. I put one on from a 78 f150 that is 15" in diameter and like it better but couldn't use the turn signal cancel cam. Are there any stock ford wheels that are only 15" that will use the signal cancel pin or do you have to go with an aftermarket to get that function again? Thanks guys

Some of the passenger car wheels should work . Just find one in a junker , pull it off and check how the signals are set up. You need to look for one with about the same size hub as your truck. I tried the 78/79 wheel on my 73 , same problem . So i just changed the column to a 79 , problem solved .

I considered changing the column but my neutral safety switch and backup lights are in the column and not the gear selector. So if I change I loose the back up lights. If anyone knows a stock 15" wheel that works, please let me know.

I've got the same problem, I've got one of the sport 3 spoke wheels and one with nice padded wrap but they are both from the later models and my signal cancel doesn't work. Anyone find a 15" version wheel that does work, I"m considering going with an old school grant 3 spoke and adapter just to get the signal cancel to work again.

None that I know of... I'd like to know too.

I have a 15-inch 79 wheel in my 73 4x4 and have basically given up using the turn signals. And in CA, their use is pretty much optional anyway.

I looked at Amazon and ordered the Grant #332 Nascar style steering wheel, solid spokes, 14.75" diameter, 4" dish on face side, and the needed #3285 adapter kit for my '77 F-150 back in Sept 2014. Very reasonable. I wanted black .... but they have it in Chrome as well as versions with holes in the spokes.

It worked with self canceling mechanism but you move a piece from oem to Grant adapter.

Unrelated to this wheel / adapter ..... my OEM cancel-er finally gave up one day a few years ago and after a few Dormans .... I just snapped both ears off and installed a LOUD flasher that goes "tic-toc-tic-toc ..... etc"

When I get a chance, i was thinking of drilling a hole in the back of stock steering wheel hub to put a spring pin in. Basically the same thinkg a grant adapter does and use that pin to cancel the turn signal cam. Anybody tried that yet?
