Truck Will not crank when you turn the key

Well EGR delete went well, just took longer than I had hoped, its darn cold working outside in sub freezing temps,, I took the minimax off an 250 and returned it to stock and programmed the 350,, nope turn the key will not start did the wire trick and it turns over and fires when I put starter fluid in the intake,, but that it scratching my head now
no error codes
any ideas?
the red padlock with car inside stays on hinting its a security module issue,, when you do turn the key you hear the relay tick in the passenger foot well
I am after any inspiration now
I have cleansed all the fuel lines and have good clean fuel coming up to the fuel filter in the engine bay
Thanks for any input

Are you leaving the key in the ignition, sometimes the truck dosent like that, take the key all the way out, turn it to the on position like you've changed your filter a bunch of times, could be you need to bleed the fuel lines going to the pump.

Thank you for responding, nope not leaving the key in the ignition, I have cycled the fuel pump at least 8 times as I have changed both filters

I just programmed the truck to take in to consideration the EGR/DPF and Cat delete and with my 250 it did the same thing until I programmed it however I have now programmed this truck and it will will not crank with the key.

I have disconnected both batteries and left it over night in case that helps? clutching at straws a bit now and I really need to get the truck up and running.

I will mess with it a bit today, sub freezing temps are limiting my time outside today

If air has gotten into the lines from the last fuel filter to the cooler and the high pressure pump they will have to be purged of air, something I am not familiar with but I would think it has come up before.

Have you tried bleeding the system at the fuel cooler?

Okay some what of a success now,, I have bled the fuel system and got all air out of it up as far as the high pressure pump and return system,, still would not start, checked all fuses, last ditch attempt I thought lets see if any codes are thrown up,, HA!!! P1260 - Theft Detected - Vehicle Immobilized, now I know the direction I am going and why it would not crank and start
I will confirm as soon as i can get a locksmith out to re program the PATS system
I feel happy now

Good deal. The PATS locked my wife's Explorer down last year when she ran it out of fuel and tried to get it started back. Chased my tail on it. Had to have the PATS played with by Ford finally. Hope you get her figured out.

I have had similar experience with a few 6.0Ls I worked on. Do you have a remote lock for it? If you do, remove the key and remote, close all the doors, then lock the truck from the remote. Unlock it again, using the remote, and then try again. No guarantees but it might be worth a try.

Okay, but if it's HPFP problem it wouldn't trigger the P1260 theft detected code. It would therefore crank over.

Big difference between crank no start or no crank no start.

Ok moved past the theft deterrent code, had to take the truck to the dealership and have a new key programmed,, that then got rid of that code,, I then installed my MiniMax programmer and programmed the truck then for the first time it would crank over using the new key and the theft light was out and stays out except when stopped and key out the normal red pulse you should get. Sorry I never updated the posts
