Thanks, my wheels are a completely different story though......
I am running the '04 (only year made) Lariat 18" rims, these and their look-a-like Harley, King Ranch and SVT brothers DO NOT need the above mentioned spacers to fit an EX correctly. They were designed and offered on the '04 Super Duty pickups in '04 only and are the ONLY plus sized (over 16") OEM rims that are designed for the leaf sprung front suspension trucks prior to '05 (including all years of EXs).
Here is a thread that goes into more detail and has some close-ups of the various rims styles. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post16064812

Answer to 2 & 3
For the 05-07 front end conversion..I believe you only need the the headlights, grille, bumper and upper header panel. These items can be purchased oem or aftermarket, depending on your taste.

5..yes, the bumper will bolt straight up to your X, but I'm sure you will have gaps and the bumper will not match up to your fenders.

Thanks for the replies guys. I scored the front and rear bumper takeoffs yesterday here locally (all inserts, brackets, etc.). Other parts to be ordered this weekend.

Here's the list thus far for the front end conversion. I will put links in (not sure they will work once posted). I appreciate the advice and sources, etc. from you all, as I have been able to learn and piece this together. I am assuming I would need bulbs for the new headlights as well, so will pick those up and am open to and appreciate any suggestions, best bulbs to use, etc., (yours in the pic look fantastic), caveats, etc.

2015 front / rear chrome bumpers
, brackets, fog light inserts, etc., (but no fog lights), local supplier. The 2000 X Limited that I have did not have fog lights as an option. I am not sure if the wiring is there (I know the switch is not), thus, the above fog light kit just in case. The rear bumper has the park assist, which was an option on my 2000, not sure if the 2015 bumper will 'plug and play,' with regard to the assist connector, need modification, swap out with the one I currently have, or what yet on that, etc.

Probably to accommodate the larger 20" wheels on the late(r) model SD.

Why is there a gap when a 2015 bumper is mounted on a 2000 to 2005 Excursion but when you see it on a 2015 Super Duty it is even with the fender well?

Warn's hidden winch kit adds 5 inches to the bumper of a 2011-2015 Super Duty so the Warn #84520 skirting kit bumper ends may have to be trimmed unless the gap is 5 inches.

Because the 2011 fenders are longer.

Is the fender longer or the opening longer?

The fenders are definitely longer and I don't think the 2011 bumper wraps around as the older bumpers. If you put the bumper on without modding it by allowing the 2011 bumper to set in more, your bumper will look like that. I just mounted it as is and mine looks just like that.

Finished the front conversion this afternoon. Pretty fun project, and I learned a lot about how these things go together. Ended up modding two brackets for the side bumper supports--welded one side to the frame, the other bolted to the bumper. Thanks again for the inspiration and information!!

Thanks again for the inspiration & information!!

Bumper side mount custom bracket. It's pretty solid for sure now...

Driver's side bumper side bracket.
