On my 99 F250 the cruise will not turn on, when I brake the interior light come on and no power to the power point on the dash. I have checked all fuses and all check good on both sides of the fuse. Where is the switch that turns on the interior light because that might be my problem. The door ajar light stays on most of the time but even when it goes out the cruise still doesn't work which I was thinking they were connected somehow.

 

Does the interior light go out and remain out even when you apply brakes when the door ajar light is off?

 

The interior light comes back on when I brake and goes off when I start off from a stoplight. I can hear a click under the dash when light comes on. But the door ajar light is on when this happens.

 

OK. Spray WD-40 on all of the door latches/switches.


It may be that simple...
