That would be correct - it got moved to the 6th according to the web site: icefishing.org.

That was one of the most fun things to do on Boy Scout winter camping trips in NJ. We'd stay out all night goofing around on the ice hoping to yell 'tip UP' first..

There wasn't enough ice, so they have to let it build up a bit more.

When I had to do the Injection Pump on my Dodge in the middle of winter, I plugged in the block heater for the day. That way, I didn't have to shovel a foot of snow off the hood and no more banging knuckles on a cold engine...

Getting under the truck to do the lift pump was another story.

But I've only ever used the block heater for my own comfort, to hop into a toasty warm truck on a cold morning or of I'm doing work on it in the cold... Cummins has always started in the cold, even down to -20 F with a full cycle of the grid heaters. Are PowerStrokes more temperamental, even with a good Glow Plug system?

Floridian! I'm about 45 miles north of SnowSeeker and the event is in Brainerd MN, not the furthest north person here but its -16 this morning.

I'm really not the right guy to answer this question since I live in south Florida... The coldest I've seen with the 6.0 was -6 degrees in the mountains of West Virginia last year... Although I took my heavy duty extension cord that I purchased for that trip, I never needed to use it. My first days on the mountain were single digits at night and my last 2 days were just below zero. I never had any issues with my starts, I did cycle the glow plugs twice before cranking but she would crank the same as in 50 degree weather.
