Looking for Trailer Charge Relay - 2016 F250
I can't find the relay for the trailer charge circuit. On my other F trucks the relay was usually in a separate box near the distribution box under the hood. The manual only lists a fuse for this circuit, but I know there is a relay. It appears the main dist box can be lifted up; is the a chance the relay is underneath?

Yeah my other trucks have had a separate relay box but for the life of me I can't find it on the 2016. The orange wire that provides the battery charge current runs into the main dist box. But there is no relay in that box and the manual doesn't list a relay. This is so frustrating.

In my 2013 owners manual the relay is illustrated under "fuses" on page 291. Location number 102, explained page 295. I'd guess it's somewhere around there in a 16 manual too. In the power distribution box by the left hood hinge. No difference diesel or gas. Hope this helps.
Does your truck have the integrated trailer brake controller? Is there just no relay at spot 102 in the box? Is there a loose fuse and relay in the glovebox? They used to put it in a bag on the f150 but I never heard of that on a newer sd.

I did some more digging. My manual states that spot 102 is not used. There is no relay in #102 in the battery junction box. I can't believe Ford still does not install this relay. It is not in the glove compartment. I have no power at the 7-pin connector on pin 4 in run, so the relay is the culprit. I am going to jump pins 87 and 30 in the BJB to get constant 12v at the 7-pin and use it to power LED bed lights. Thanks everyone.

On my 16 the charge wire was hot only with the key on. I wanted hot at all times. But I can not find the relay for it. Since it is dead with key off, and hot with key on tells me that there is a relay installed somewhere on the truck . It is not in the fuse box under the hood though.

My dad has a 14 f150 with the max tow package. His fuse/relay for the trailer charging circuit was not installed, was in the glove box.
