If you hit the 7/8 and 9/0 at the same time do the doors lock? If not it might be disconnected or broke.

So you have an issue to find out before even getting the code...

 

it washes my radio with static the moment I flip it on.


Makes me think the prior owner had an external XM receiver (or external audio source) which this switch controlled.. OR a signal jammer to annoy folks using their cell phones while driving...

 

These keypads don't like to sit unused for long periods of time. When I don't use it for months on end the buttons can take time to clean off the contacts and start working. I sometimes have to press them harder when that happens. Since the lighting on mine still works, I know when i have a dead button. The keypad looks easy enough to replace and I will do that when the lights quit

 

Maybe the secret to your switch is it disables the key pad

Fwiw.... That section of dash pops off fairly easy and quick if you want to trace the wires

 

I wish it did....I may have to test that theory.....though I would much rather it activate a rocket launcher

 

Just finished passenger front door lock. Works like a charm now. I freakin love FTE!! I'll try the secret button and then keypad. It does have touchscreen pioneer radio in dash...

 

Just an update, tonight, when I pressed buttons on the keypad, the interior lights came on. Confusing... Any ideas?

 

Also, found a secret button. doesn't do anything when i flip it. any ideas? how do i find what it is wired to without pulling everything apart?

The previous owners last name wasn't Bond was it? I wouldn't want to be sitting in the passenger seat when that thing finally decides to work.

I had one of those in mine too when I bought it !

Found that it turned on a P.A. speaker mounted under the truck hooked to the radio for playing mariachi music..

 

That's normal system ops.
