Stolen 3rd Rows?

Stolen 3rd Rows?
Guy at shop told me that the 3rd rows of Suburban are a highly stolen item. I was commenting on how easy our 3rd row came out. He wasn't sure about how much the Excursion ones were stolen. He said they actually make locks for the Suburban seats now.
Wondering if any of you have heard of the Ex 3rd rows being stolen and if any of you lock them in and what you use to lock it.
Thinking my 3rd row might be more of a target now with it's headrests.

I have heard of the Chevy 3rd row seats being stolen. Never heard of Ford 3rd rows being stolen.... no idea why the Chevs are more popular with thieves. I keep my 3rd row locked up tight. It's wrapped in plastic and has been locked in my barn since I bought my Ex. Some day I'll put it in, just to see how it looks in there.

Mine is/was in my basement and has water damage from the fire... Insurance is writing it off, any idea what I should tell them it's worth/accept for it?

Yep, saw a news story of 3 guys smashing the rear glass to open the door and then each (don't recall if it was 2 or 3) grabbed a seat section and ran.
The 3rd row on rental I've had were individually folding and tucked into the floor.
Still don't know why, but sounds like stealing tailgates with back up camera and stepladder.

I'd get a price quote from a used auto parts place. I agree with the other guys.... gotta be worth a minimum of 5 beans. I'd think more for anyone that truly needed one.

A few years back, here in Louisiana, trade in on a Suburban without the third row seat was $1,000 less. It was an item checked on at least three Suburbans I traded. One of which did not have the third row seat, it had been left at a deer hunting camp in West Texas and lost (stolen). Learned a lesson and from that point forward always kept track of the 3rd row and kept in climate controlled storage.
