F100 Door Stands

After getting some questions regarding holding panels for painting I came across this pic of some door stands for F100 doors. They could be modified for any doors but this shows the concept fairly well...

Thanks Charlie, I guess being able to rotate them like that would be very handy too...

Beautiful truck Charlie, can't wait untill I have enough parts to complete this one I'm working on. Is that the truck that has the Chevy front bumper?

Yes it is...I may have posted this pic some time ago but it shows the bumper a little better.

I think that the price of the metal wouldn't be too much if you built them as pictured...for me, I have a bigger issue with storage when they are not in use. Maybe if they were built to be disassembled and could be stored flat I would be more interested in building a pair.

Thats why I want to use engine stands. Then modify them for a rotisserie and some other uses such as the doors. Casters make them movable, and some correctly positioned hinges to allow them to fold flat.

I like those door hangers. Thanks for the pic. I have enough scrap kicking around for that. I'll be making something like that soon. I might use tubing for the feet so they can slid in and be removable. Make the bottom section sort of like the rotating section up top. Space is a concern here.

I have already built myself a rotisserie so no need of engine stands and also made a hanging rack for painting parts which disassembles. I started today at making these attachments for the doors that will attach to the rack. Once done I'll post what I have.

I'll likely only get to use them for this build but at least I can do both sides at the same time... Thanks Charlie..
