Report - 130 Miles of Off-Road Fun!
Its been a month since the trip... been busy with work stuff.
this is a followup to My thread https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ion-input.html
It was a Awesome trip we took the Mojave Trail/Road East to West from Avi Casino to the I-15. 130 miles of 99.9% dirt roads mostly very much un-maintained.
First day started out a bit rough left the house zero-dark-thirty to bet there by 0700. In the process of moving stuff out into the truck I apparently dropped my teeth in the driveway, son was house sitting and fount them for me. They are new to me and they still hurt a bit and didn't want to have them on for the long drive out there. Hence the goofy pics of me, no teeth in my head. as for the Off roading truck was amazing, kept up with the jeeps and other short vehicles around the turns and obstacles.
First night was FREEZING when I started my truck in morning EOT was 29deg F. Had a good time though got to know a few of the folks better while we kept warm near the fire.
Second night was spent at the Branagin mine where another socal group has done a lot to preserve it happened to be up there working on it. NPS was planning on bull-dozing the site completely.
Third day had to call it quits because my Axle seal wore out to far and the hubs would stay locked (WARN hubs). Went 2wd for about 25miles and had to get pulled out of some sand once by a Jeep it was a really tricked out Jeep so its okay I guess.
