Door unlock fail and flashing battery light

Door unlock fail and flashing battery light
Hey folks, i have been having an intermittent door unlock switch failure... The driverside and passenger side unlock doesnt work but the lock does... It has been intermittent, but now seems consistantly not working... This is now accompanied by a flashing battery light on the dash, which i've never seen before....as well, the dome lights have stopped working, could be bulbs, havent checked, but i replaced them within a year ago...
I guess my question is.... Would a flashing battery light be connected to switch not working? Is it likely to be the module since both passenger and driver side unlock function failed at the same time? I doubt both actuators would go at the same time...
The other odd thing to tag on to this is a month ago my fuel gauge went dead... I keep wondering if ther is a common connection....

So i wanted to revive this thread before it gets too buried.... My 2003 ex is having intermittant failure of the unlockinf function... Mostly not working... Rhis coincedenrally occured while the fuel gauge also died and the battery light flashes intermittantly, dome lights are also out now..... Anyone think this could be related or just a coincedance? Other than changinf actiators for the door unlock... Which doesnt seem to be my problem as all of them are either working or not at the same time... Probably more a problem with the switch controller( passenger and driver button works or not at the same time). Thanks for any help....

Have you checked your voltage while running? If the battery light is flashing due to inadequate charging/low voltage you are killing your injectors/FICM. Sorry I can't really help with the lock issue, but I'd make sure your electrical system (batteries, alt, cables) are in good order before your start losing injectors or your FICM

Well, I have been chasing issues in my charging system for a few years... BAtteries dying very soon after purchase, random low voltage problems... In the past two years I have replaced:
FICM
2 new batteries ( one crapped out after 2 months)
Alternator
All new terminals and splicing 10 " onto each cable
And finally after all that, and still getting dead battery issues.... I replace the entire positive wire harness..
Now the problem has been solved as far as weak betteries... For some reason the corrosion had gone more than 10 inches into the cables.... I am pretty sure alternator is working strong, because headlights dont dim, and my STC gauge always reads it above 12 volts...
