you've got the PSD/E4OD/4.10 combo.the highest rated 9th gen pickup towing capacity combo.hook onto her and run 'er.
the hydroboost brake system is a huge upgrade, however that's not needed with a trailer with working brakes.where the hydroboost shines is when just running with the truck with a heavy load on.

oh your preaching to the choir as to whether or not to upgrade.
ok,hydroboost doesn't change the brakes.it simply changes how much pressure the brakes receive via a different method from vacuum assist to hydraulic assist.
everything you need to know can be found here.read the whole thread to find info on the brake pedal etc.

And the bigger trailer will be a gooseneck

So, in a GN/5th setup, you'd have about 20% of the trailer's weight as tounge/pin weight. That comes directly off your payload capacity and the truck's GVW.
At 11k lbs, that gives you a pin weight of 2200 lbs on the truck.
Also, I'd have to check again, but in my 95's manual, I think the highest tow rating of any of the trucks is 10k.. I have a 95 460 4.10 with a 8800 GVW. I have a payload capacity of like 28xx lbs. I think there was only one combination with a GVCW higher, but it was a diesel, and it lost its advantage in a significantly higher curb weight.
