49 Ford F1 Clutch Release Equalizer Ball & Bracket

So it turns out that the company that manufactured the Clutch Release Equalizer Ball & Bracket 01Y-7507 discontinued the production sometime ago. I just spent the last week contacting all stores to see if they happen to have one in stock and no luck. Finding a used one has also been difficult. I already have the Equalizer Shaft. Has anyone fabricated/figured out how to accomplish the pivot point without the ball & bracket? If so, any information would be helpful. Of course if you have one laying around you like to get rid of let me know :-)

National Parts Depot, pg 135, F-7507-1, $19.95.

Others probably have it too.

Unfortunately, NPD doesnt have it either:

This item is temporarily unavailable.
Call 800-874-7595 for status and availability.

I've tried MAC, Dennis Carpenter, Early Ford (Midwest, CA, etc.).....they all said the same thing unfortunately.

I knew that was too easy. Sorry. Hope you find one. With all the guys swapping to late model automatics, somebody should have one.

Well it appears that I found one in the San Diego area from a private person who I bought a couple of things from a year or two ago. He happens to have a new bracket. It pays to keep people's information in your address book.

His name isn't Dan, is it?! Glad you found one, that would be tough to fab.

His name is Jack and has quite a collection of parts he acquired over the years.
I hear you on trying to fab one up. I thought maybe someone might have gotten creative with an older bracket or from a sedan (01A-7507) with a little shimming and assuming the diameter of the ball would be the same.
