E4OD solenoid pack

I have a 97 f250 heavy duty with a 460 with the e4od built 7 of 97 was wondering if there is a difference between the 95 and 96 and by your truck in the solenoid packs because I keep having transmission issues bought one from Monster transmission the first go around last at 80 miles and the second last at 23 miles don't know if there's a difference in the solenoid packs causing the ECU to be confused and throw the truck into limp limp mode causing the transmission to be at full pressure any help on this matter would be helpful

I don't know of a difference. Maybe the solenoid pack isn't the problem.

I have had the relief valve in the front pump stick both ways. Closed way to high pressure. Open no pressure.

Just not sure what else would be a problem on a new transmission unless there's something different on the solenoid packs causing it to burn itself apart I put a used one in and need the newer pack and just want to make sure that if I buy a pack that is not going to mess up this transmission

It was from monster transmission they want 500 dollars for me to ship it back to them the first time second time they wanted 500 bench fee and 500 to ship it back and since the first one burnt up after 80 miles and the second after 23 I thought another 1000 dollars wasn't worth it

Too bad these details were not known before you bought it...... It's a pretty good deal for them, get paid again even if they screw up.... WOW

How long have you had the transmission?

Already did said nothing they can do suprise suprise that's why I think it's the solenoid pack is the problem they kept telling me it's obd2 and it's obd1 but I really can't find a difference besides the number 12 pin in 97 goes to a pcm power and on 96 it's a pressure control circuit but can't find any other information than that I'm at a loss

February of 2014 picked the truck up in June of 2014 and transmission has been out of truck since July 2014 didn't even make it 2 months

Does not sound like a transmission problem.
You need to do an KOEO electrical test and see if there are any codes in CM by letting the test run after the electrical test if you have not disconnected the battery.

If the check engine light comes on as a self test when the key is turned to On, you can check the codes with a short piece of wire. No CEL, then use a test light (you can rig up a light bulb & 2 pieces of wire), or an analog volt meter:

Ford ? OBD Trouble Codes
