Utah V10 Mechanic?
Hey all!
I've had my 2000 f250 V10 for about 8 months now. For the most part, I really love the machine, but I don't think it's running just right:
-I feel like I've got a weird transmission issue - in OD is vibrates and has a hard time shifting out of OD
-seems a little weak for what it's supposed to be
-power steering fluid it topped off, but when turning in the cold, it has a grinding sound
I'm curious if anyone from Utah has a good mechanic that really knows these v10's? I'd like to get the check over by someone who knows all the little issues and problems, and knows what to do. thanks!

Sounds like it has a bad tq convertor, look for a quality tranmission shop and have her rebuilt. The power steering pump is well weak on these trucks. My 2004 never had "power" turning shile stopped even with stock tires and going one size up to a 285/75r16 made it even worse. Its just how these trucks are was is crazy but it is what it is, u can flush the strrring system and use full synthetic trans fluid and it helps and will quiet it down and help turning slightly
