Not sure but here is a photo, as you can see on the front quarter panel, when they hit the signal it turns on solid to light the area they are turning towards.

We had a Crown Vic (maybe an '83) that had them and they were nice. I missed them when we sold the car.
Ford LTD Crown Victoria '1983?87
Look low on the front quarter in front of the well.

I have them on my Marauder and love them. I upgraded to LED and they put out a crazy amount of light. It would be awesome for someone to figure out.

Had them on a 1977 Mercury Grand Marquis. Great accessory!

what a great idea. I've had cornering lights on a few cars, never thought about it since I sold the last buick that had them. I like the side lamp on the Ambulance and can picture adding to the lower from quarter panel (tastefully installed of course)

Be curious if any actually does this

I still have a car with cornering lamps, and I think they're very useful. I don't know why nobody makes them any more. The question will be whether you can get a turn signal switch that will fit in the column and also have contacts for them. They used a dedicated set of contacts. I this application you really need that. Without it, I guess "smart lights" has to use a computer to figure out what is going on.

I'll just mention in OEM applications these always used a backup lamp bulb. So in incandescent thinking, they were about 27 watts. Aimed low. That ambulance probably has some more oomph and can get away with it.
