Swapped gauge cluster and oil pressure quit

So my gauge cluster with tach came today, swapped them out and everything worked great. Drove the truck to town, no problems. Stop to get gas a couple miles from the house, and as I pulled out and got out from under the bright lights, something caught my eye. I looked down and noticed immediately I had no oil pressure. Listened to motor real quick and no noises, but what had caught my eye was the light coming around the base of needle. I drove on home and upon further inspection, it's like the needle has pushed up. Wasn't like this when I did install or before I stopped for gas. I started it a few times and the needle tries to come up, but I believe it's rubbing the face and can't. Anybody run into something like this? Should I just take the plastic cover back off and try to pull the needle down some.

I've removed the needles from my cluster so as to remove the guage plates inderneath so that I could scrape away the green tint and change the yellowish incandescent bulbs with blue LED bulbs. Yes I would absolutely attempt to CAREFULLY push that needle back down. I'm actually wondering if the needle needs to be reset. I would probably remove the plastic cover and the needle and attempt to put it back on in it's normal position while engine was idling.

If the gauge movement itself (the silver can on the back of the oil gauge) turns out to be sticking, you can swap the old one over from your non-tachometer cluster. They are interchangeable.

Thanks guys, haven't had a chance to mess with it. But when I do, I can simply pull the needle and base straight out? Then pull the face plate off? No anchors to remove? I'm guessing it will be pretty self explanatory once I get in there.
