Tuning a new 2016 f150?

I second that opinion. After all, the engines seem to have quite a bit of excess power already. I'm totally satisfied with the stock power configuration.

I have ran 5 star tunes on my two previous F150 ecoboosts (2011 and 2013). The '13 was a heavy 157" wheelbase King Ranch. Towing 8k lbs of trailer and two Polaris RZR's to Colorado the 5 star performance/tow tune made one heck of a difference. I then got a 15 F350 with the PSD. The tuned King Ranch would run circles around the F350 as far as acceleration up the mountains went.
Now i have a '16 F150 and it will more than likely be tuned. I towed 8000 lbs of cattle and trailer on Thursday and it had to downshift to 4th once and 5th several times. A tune will keep it out of 4th.
If you tow 4-5k lbs you don't really need a tune. Get on up there in weight, throw in some mountains or the frontal sq footage of my fiver and a tune will make the drive much easier and you will have the power to pass if needed.
If you are scared of tunes then stick with conservative tunes from a tuner that you trust.
