Hi, I am trying to find out if anyone has used the homelink setup on a Car2U system. The back story here is that I purchased a new Platinum F150 in 2010 and had to convert my garage door openers to Car2U to adapt to the Platinum. When I traded it for my '13 Expedition Limited it still had the Car2U system and I had no problems syncing it with my door openers.

Last week I purchased a new Expedition Limited and it has the homelink system. I haven't been able to program it to my existing door openers and am afraid I may have to buy new garage receivers to make it work.

So, my question is, has anyone been able to program the homelink system in their Ford to the Car2U receivers? If so, how??

I have searched the internet for answers and called both homelink and a company that sells Car2U systems. No one knows. FWIW, I have checked the Ford manual and there is no mention of Car2U programming.

Any help appreciated.

 

I called everyone I could think of and no one had an answer. I then called a friend in the garage door repair business and he came out and installed a couple of Liftmaster receivers on my openers. The Expedition programmed right to them without any issues. A little over $60. in parts and it is done. Isn't technology great??
