84 2 wheel drive, no sign of a turbo and 3/4 ton with the stupid TTB to boot, all for the paltry sum of 4,950!

 

Lowish miles, but still way too much.

 

Not a "stupid TTB" at all. It's 2wd so it's got a TIB, a very durable and much better riding coil-sprung front end.

 

And way too much money. Around here that's a $1000 truck.

 

all things considered, that is a very good looking truck.
i wonder if it was garage kept and is really is a clean as it looks.
if so, that is not a bad deal. yes the price is a little high, but i bet he will get it id it is indeed as clean as it looks.

 

Didn't think of that, hardly ever see 2 wheel drive trucks around here, maybe 1 in 15 or twenty on the classifieds, and most of them are DRW.


It is a clean truck but no 4x4, no turbo and more than likely no overdrive transmission, you'd have to be nuts to pay that much even with our exceptionally high prices up here in Canada.

Clean, 4x4, 5 speed, power stroke swap (a big plus for the average person) and a Dana 60 under the front end.

 

My 84 6.9 4x4 has a Dana 50 TTB and it handles pretty good for over 30 year old pickup!

Made several trips to Yukon on Alaska Highway with it and I prefer the handling over my 99 F350 Dana 60 solid axle any day!

It's a different story if it is or all worn out or abused (FUBAR).

 

Yeah no kidding. It looks like it's in very good shape.

 

But not 5k worth of good shape being a single cab 2wd. My88 is that nice, 160k, a bunch of those were from being towed behind an RV, the only flaws are the resulting rock chips. But 2wd, i get laughed at when i say 2k and mention the ICE COLD AC...
