2015 Door Latch Problem
I have a extended cab F150, and in the morning when i open the door it unlocks fine but as soon as you try to close it it doesn't latch. When i rolled down the window and hit the lock button it latches. I figure its the 14 degree weather freezing the locks but it doesn't do it on the other door. What should i do to fix this, put some dry silicone grease on it?

This kind of problem really cracks me up after seeing all those promos over the years how the auto manufacturers do extensive Arctic cold testing and ultra repetitive harsh weather door opening closing tests.
I don't get these kinds of failures in moderately cold weather on a new vehicle.

Interesting. My drivers side passenger door wouldn't open this morning (SCREW). I noticed when I used the key fob and even the door lock/open buttons, the door lock rod (guess its called that) would not go up or down. Temp this morning was below freezing. Once the truck warmed up, the door was able to be unlocked using fob and door buttons. Don't believe my issue is the latch, or maybe it is? Will have dealer look at it next time I'm there....oil change in another 1000 mi.

It's a nuisance issue that they're aware of. I think there are far more important things than a handful of faulty door latches to base your decision on. Mine's in the affected date range of the TSB and hasn't had a single door latch issue. I'm not worried about it.

Not saying I wouldn't worry about it in your shoes! My point was simply that this wouldn't deter me from buying one, that's all. Not trying to minimize what's going on with your truck, but so far this isn't becoming very common. Hopefully they get this figured out and it's nothing but a bad memory soon!
