To all I say... Goodbye.

I was forced to get rid of my truck last week. A head gasket went bad and It was going to cost $5000.00 to fix it. That was way more than I was willing to spend on it, so, I traded it for a 2014 Ram 2500 with the 5.7 Hemi. Now was an extremely bad time for you to leave me, Lucille.

As some of you my remember, I was very vocal in my criticism of this truck to the point of warning others to stay away from the 6.0l and, in the process, pi$$ing off several people on this forum. I stand by my assessment of this P.O.S. engine and think Ford should have been made to fix them. Anyway, I say, good riddance to bad rubbish.

As I no longer own a diesel nor a Ford, I will take this opportunity to thank everyone for their help and advise over the past many years and bid all you fine people, adieu.

Now you'll be logging onto a Ram forum complaining about blown transmissions, bad ball joints and 4x4 actuators and investing in easy outs to replace exhaust manifold studs...

Jus sayin'.....

Good luck with replacing your front end at 50,000m intervals and who knows when dodge will ever mount a transmission that can hold their stock power levels.

The 6.0 is a fine motor, had you taken the steps to make it that way. Especially since you knew what you were getting into

Buddy of mine has the 2500, Hemi.... I brought him an actuator lever for 4x4 to hunting camp about a month ago. $40 dealer part, doesn't come with all the parts needed to swap a new on one (missing the mounting nut and pin) and it's his 4th one in 3 years.

He's looking at a 2016 2500 Dodge diesel today... they only cost $50k he said. I told him good luck.

Just say'n

Heck, The 6.0 was the best truck I ever owned. I hope I get as good service out of the 6.7. Bought the 6.0 new in December 03 and just sold it a few months ago, with 278,000 miles on it. Never did anything special. Just changed the oil, never got crazy with the maintenance at all. Had a water pump, cam sensor and a few injectors go out and that's about it.

Can't we be the bigger person and just let it go without the bad comments.

The 6.oh doesn't need any defense for most of us.

I think it was nice he took the time for a farewell note. When I left my POS Durablast in the review mirror of my 6.0, sitting at the dealer on trade-in, I was still so butthurt that I spent months harassing the guys on the Diesel Place forum about being stuck with their overheating LLY durablasts and my nice new Ford not breaking a sweat at doing anything I threw at it...

I've got friends with Dodges, but I do keep an eye on them...

At any rate, the 6.0 will always be the sweetest sounding diesel there is. Most DMax and Cummins guys I know will tell me the same thing

Good luck with the Hemi

.. heck no! Come on! This guy is a Troll and gets what he deserves. If anyone comes on this site and starts smack talking our Fords they get what they get. However, participation is always voluntary. Which area in Yakima are you from? I lived in Ellensburg for many years.
