2001 Expedition intermittent codes.

About a month ago service light came on. I had the codes read and it came up for the upstream O2 sensor amd the VSS. I checked both and they are new. Only thing i did different after was put 91 octane gas in and it dissappeared. Now it came back on i gavent read the codes yet, but have a feeling it will be the same. There is jot change to speed, power, idle, and GPM. Nothing just that lighy comes on. Only other time it does it is when it rains heavily and its wet outside.

You sound surprised they are new. Did you just buy this vehicle or have you had it for some time?

I bought it about 3mons ago. Just got smogged before i bought it. I. Was there. All 4 O2 sensors are new fuel filter is new just had a oil change, trans serviced, brakes done, shocks are new as well. Im suprised it came back. Like I said it was gone for at least a month. Before i got on the mever ending O2 sensor hunt i wanted to see if there was anything else. The vss has been tested and came back good i check the wiring like it says to in the book and it was fine.

Follow the hose from the PCV valve around to the center rear of the intake. There you will find a rubber elbow. Remove the elbow and inspect it for any damage.

We need the actual fault code(s), not a vague description.
