It seems that the seat belt warning chime will not stop when exiting the truck with the key removed from the ignition.

Closing the door after exiting stops the chime, but opening the door the chime starts again.

Chime does stop after turning the key on and connecting the seatbelt.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

 

Sounds like a problem with the switch in the key tumbler. Look on autozone' site at the repair help and see if they say how it comes out.

Turned out to be a chafed wire connection to ignition switch. Repaired bad wire, so far good as new.
