Good morning Louisiana, welcome to Thirsty Thursday!

Wonder how much of a pain those bushings would be? Short sounds like it may be the switch on the door, but, I can't recall how that is set up.

Good morning guys. At least you have work right now bloodhound! not to many people can say that right now.

Nuke,
from what I looked at, the hardest part will be dropping the steering column. after that it doesn't look to bad. I have a new switch for the door but it goes off and on with the swinging motion of the door. I may change it being I have a new one and I will be in there anyway.

yes sir that is what I am thinking. when I start to dig in to it I will look for a wiring diagram and see which color wire I need to look for. then I will go from there.

She has a 2013 Explorer. I hate driving that thing, can't see a damn thing out of the back of it. But, it's hers, and she likes it. Yeah, the 06 was my mid-life crisis gift to myself when I turned 40. The 67 is an ongoing resto-mod.

oh ok cool. my wife drives the 2000 Excursion. I was able to talk her out of getting another one and just putting some money in to hers. going to change the gears and carrier in the rear end to make it a limited slip and put the next size bigger tires on it. I told her we don't need a 4x4 and it would just be more stuff to have to fix.

I really liked our Expedition. I wish she would have kept it, but, it was up to her. I think she misses the room in it. I certainly felt more comfortable driving it. That Explorer just feels cramped to me.

I know how you feel. The expedition is snug compared to the room in the Excursion. Took the Excursion on a road trip to Gulf Shore for vacation over the summer and it was great with all the kids having room and all our stuff in the back.

Yeah, you could tell the difference going from the Expedition to my Super Duty. Expedition didn't have enough room for the wife and our 3 kid's crap on vacation (I think the wife packs everything she owns!). That's why I got the long bed! And, it's freakin full when we travel!!

My wife had a 05 excursion 6.0 diesel. I traded in an F150 on her a 13 explorer and inherited the ex. Drove it another year. 225k. I traded it in on a 09 F350 Swr because I was planning to buy a 5th wheel. Ended up being almost 2 years before I bought it. If I would have known that I would have kept it and put 5 grand in it.
