Hey, Maybe since I'm currently unemployed, I should get both and start a Mail/Milk delivery service!
Got Mik with that Mail?

Yeah, Dick. You could write off the cost of the restorations as a business expense!

Very Nice find! I like the mail truck only because it looks less ugly than that milk truck. #2427207075 -now thats a real truck(minus the cottiebob engine)! -4speed P.S Dick, if you need any employees I'm there as long as I'm the milkman!

I like the odd stuff. I figure anyone can restore a F-1, not like that is easy either, but it's unique when one of the altered trucks survive through all these years. I would love to find a one ton tow truck in my area for a decent price. There is a F-7 Marmon-Herrington wrecker about forty miles from here that is in really nice shape. I just can't justify buying such a big truck. I have a few pictures of odd trucks on my web site and am always looking for more.

Either one of those trucks would be cool to fix up to use with a business, there's a guy in town that does the fancy pruning work with schrubs, he drives a 48 IH around with a hugh black Lab in the back. Everyone knows him and what he does.

"I would love to find a one ton tow truck in my area for a decent price."

You know what, there are two at a place near where I worked this whole summer, along with a '5X Ranchero with a Edsel front end . That is the coolest thing I have ever seen.

Oh ya, the trucks are a '51 Deluxe cab and a '48-'50 whatever. The '51 has a nice bed and the other one has the bare frame with the winch on it.

Clayton,

Is this the Edsel Ranchero you mentioned?

The truck was built by a guy in Lubbock, it appeared in the January/February issue of "This Old Truck" (now "Vintage Truck") magazine. If it is the truck from the article, it looks like he did a real nice job. Just curious, do you know how much he is asking for it?
