Hello everyone. I am looking for some help. I have a 1953 C500 4x4. I need to know if I can get a new clutch for it? Thanks for your help. Not sure if this is the correct forum to look in. Any help is appreciated.
I would SWAG the clutch is std, probably 11" 1 38" spline, as installed by Ford. If so, they are readily available. Some of the MH guys will know.
Clutches can usually be rebuilt, resurfaced and relined by a good shop specializing in this type repair.
Ray's got it, virtually all larger trucks used the 11", p/n C0TT-7563-A for the pressure plate, B6D-7550-A for the disc. A very common setup, should be easy to get rebuilt or a replacement.
You should put your location (Canada) in your User Profile, as that affects recommendations. I'd tell you to send the clutch to Ft. Wayne Clutch for a rebuild, but that would be expensive from CA.
