I need to get off my lazy tookas and install the shocks on my truck.

Tax return was only about half of what we were expecting. Now I have to do some fancy finagling to be able to get a Cherokee.

 

Hanging out waiting to watch the Mecum Car Auction from Fla. on NBCSHD. Tomorrow watching the playoffs. GO CARDS.

We have been getting quite a bit of snow lately but it is pretty warm so we have also gotten a fair amount of rain. I have not been up to the ski areas but others have said it is a bit slushy unless you go right to the top.

My Wrangler sits a lot these days. The F150 has been getting some use fetching materials. My wife's Grand Cherokee does most of the running around. They are all 4x4 so it doesn't matter which one we take. All in all have not been buying that much gas this winter since Lynne and I have both been working at home most days.

Happy to report that I do have a couple of good paying jobs lined up as soon as I can get to them.

Morning Greg, how was the weekend?

 

Not terrible. Got the shocks on and freshened up the plugs, wires, cap and rotor, along with some mild tweaking on the carb, and fresh air filter. Want to pick up a crankcase vent filter, PCV, and fuel filter before I have to smog it next month.

 

Should be running pretty good now. I didn't realize you guys had to do smog inspections.

 

Clark county has them. I don't know about the rest of the state.
It is purring at 700rpm idle at temp.

I needed some therapy time after getting kicked in the gut by the tax gods.

 

Haven't done my taxes yet. I'm glad we don't have those, or the safety inspections they have out east.

 

It is a new thing for us since Northern Florida never had smog or inspections.

I don't see any reason to get new plugs and such since the new motor has less than 5K on it. I was going to originally, until I pulled one and looked at it.

We only got back about half of what we were expecting from taxes this year. They say the wife makes too much money and it cut the majority of the earned income credit.
