Just got to work. 48* and raining in the Eugene/Springfield area. I'm sure the area where I actually work out in the woods is a mess today. It's at 2,000 plus feet elevation and in a strange sort of valley that tends to attract nasty weather when a storm comes through.

Hello Chris, sun came out today, it was nice to see it after 17 days of absence, getting pretty cold now though...-13°C and -27°C at night

 

Driving in ice is fun when you're prepared, and my Ford is very prepared.

 

Warmed up enough this evening that things are starting to melt. No telling what tomorrow will bring

 

Belated good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else. Warmed up, started going back down then reversed and came back up to 33.6 and has hung in at that for a couple of hours now. Almost 3/4" rain so far. Current down pour for the moment is registering at 1.8" p/hour.




SpencerS, don't get them too well equipped. For us country hicks out in the sticks, our annual entertainment comes from watching and recording all of the Portland TV news show when the ice and snow hits. All those hours of televised destruction derbies are priceless!
