WOW...didn't realize that there was THAT much room inside a LAPTOP! Does it also have an optical drive? (DVD)

Yes it does Bud. Also a cooling fan for the processor and a separate fan for the graphics card.

Weighs in the ball park of 8-9 lbs. And it is a 17.3 inch laptop.
