Yes just a gasket, clean is your friend,
clean out the pan & use clean tools on the filter, 5/16ths

when you drop the filter screws there is ONE bolt longer than the others, (at the back)
make sure it goes back in the same hole.
its only aluminum so dont over torque anything,
do you have an inch pound torque wrench ....
if not just use common sense

Will I have to do all that Gerry or did you post that just to indicate the torque specs. I'm starting to feel nervous about this now..

I just wanted to show you where the long bolt goes & the torque,
QUOTE: Install valve body to case bolts. Torque bolts to 50 in-lbs
I'm sure you'll be fine ....... ignore the rest
if you get the cork pan gasket, clean the 2 surfaces good & dry,
then put the pan gasket on dry as well, dont over tighten the pan bolts
NO silicone or anything

Okay thanks Gerry, once I get the parts a brave enough to tackle it I'll let you know how it goes. I might have to remove that modified cross member, I only have about one inch clearance at the front of the pan..

One inch should enough to drop the pan
I'm sure you'll be fine

you'll need about 6 quarts of ATF , about 12/14 if you drain the torque too
