Ford Front axle

I'm trying to figure out what front axle I have. My truck is a 1975 Ford F-250 crewcab 4X4. There is no tag. C36912 is cast into the webbing in the upper left. 60F is cast into the webbing in the bottom left. I can't seem to find anything else. The axle has drum brakes and ball joints. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like a old school low pinion Dana 60?? Are the axle ujoint sealed? And are you sure you do not have kingpins? Balljoints D44, kingpins D60.... Dana axle 101 click the links.

It looks to be a closed knuckle low pinion Dana 60 drum brake to me if it in the photo. I had this axle swapped in place of a Dana 60 from a 79 snow fighter I had years ago as I kept the HP 60 for another truck. I you check the axle tube near the differential you can find the factory numbers stating what axle and what year it is. I think the HD 44 and the 60 both had the large hubs also. Hope this helps

Dana 60 has larger hubs, meaning the lock in/lock out end piece is 4" wide, across the face.
