Shaun, you get "test" siren systems? That sounds terrible. But, I guess if someone "has" to do it, it might as well be you, right?

Micah, that is why I avoid cleaning the garage. Been avoiding it for 17 years now. Imagine how high my back pain would be if I did try to clean out my garage.

Well, I was double-booked for my PT appointment and instructor's meeting this afternoon. Looks like the PT times conflict with class schedule. PT starts at 1:00 PM on Monday's and I'm in class Monday's and Wednesday's from noon until 1:15 PM. Tuesday's and Thursday's, PT starts at 2:00 PM, but I'm in classes from 9:00 AM until 5:45 PM, so that isn't an option. I have no classes scheduled on Friday's, but there are no PT sessions conducted on Friday's.

My PT gal is supposed to call me so we can setup something that works. Not sure if that is possible, but we'll see. I'm going to request the VAMC pay for a membership at the Nampa Recreation Center so I can continue my workout routine there. Probably won't happen, but I have to ask if I'm even going to have a chance of getting it approved. If not, I may wind up having another back surgery.

Time to get ready for my instructor meeting. Talk to everyone later.

Shaun, try to have fun during the siren system testing.

We have a siren system ( along the lines of what is used to warn about tornadoes). We have a monthly test of it. It was my turn to do the test this month. And the test is already over.

Good Lord! Sounds like you're lucky to be alive. My brother had something similar to him happen...guy in a Ranger tboned him while he was riding his Honda Interceptor, and he was thrown about 20 feet in the air and landed 35 feet from the bike, his entire right femur dislocated from the pelvic socket, broke it in 2 places, tib/fib fracture, broken wrist, broken eye socket w/ nerve damage. They had to life flight him.

I'm glad you lived to see another day!

30? 30! Children these days. Right, ma'am (wildwest4x4)? I'm so old I don't remember 30.

Happy birthday, Ian.

Even with Micah's injuries, he still tries to do stuff like he's 30 and uninjured. He hasn't figured out yet, that he needs to slow down a little bit. Otherwise, he's going to end up like me.

My PT gal called. She's going to request an acupuncture appointment for me to see how I respond to that. No joy on the VA paying for a Nampa Rec Center membership. I didn't think they would, but it was an automatic "No" if I didn't ask. Never had acupuncture before, but I'm willing to give it a try.

Well...I'm not THAT far ahead of 30...I still remember the day, it was sorta depressing turning the big 3-0.
In the wise words of Alan Jackson: "Remember when thirty seemed so old
Now lookin' back, it's just a steppin' stone..."
