Hi John, Don.
Just had a nice nap, after hiking around the hills of Virginia to look at some 53 and 54 trucks. Actually my truck did most of the traveling so didn't have to do much walking. Thinking about one that the cab is better than my 54. But would still need some work. Writing down all the pros and cons.
Almost supper time.

Hi Don. Now I'm thinking about sneaking over the border into NC, for some parts. Might even stop in NPD in Charlotte....

I think any cab you find is going to need some work George and most of them in the same places. You might be better off just working with what you have unless it's really roached but even they can be fixed.

Probably will stick with mine, John. Especially since wife wants me to keep it (was driving it when we first met). Have a lot of the panels already, and don't need the rest of what would come with the truck. So.... There is a guy in NC , on clist, with a pair of inner fenders, which would save me about $300 - if as good as he says. And further down the road towards Charlotte is NPD....which has more goodies.

I wish I had a place near me that sold reproduction parts, shopping over the border now is very expensive and I still need many parts for this build. I'd like to buy a new box , rear fenders and running boards to start just so the body would be complete.

Can't you ask some of those "illegals" how they sneak over the border????
Is it the shipping? or the duty?? Mac's is near Buffalo.
I've got a bunch of rear fenders that need to be patched where the running boards attach.
