Hey guys, having quite the hard time figuring out my lights... I bought all new sockets and bulbs for the front and rear.. My question is, the new sockets came with a rubber "boot" that the socket sits in. Then has a green wire and a black wire coming out. Bulb is a two element bulb. I'm assuming that one wire is for parking lights. And the other is for brake/turn. But I'm having an issue figuring out how it grounds since the metal socket that the bulb goes into, sits in that rubber boot. So the socket in no way form touches metal.. Any thoughts or ideas?

What does the inside of the socket look like, the 2 pads on a board with a spring behind it?

I have seen some similar to that but the ground was attached to a flat washer with a wire that sat in the rear of the boot so when it slid in it made contact with the housing of the socket to give it the ground.

Congrats on getting her running!

That's awesome! I grew up helping my uncle wrench on his truck. I have 2 boys and the youngest a 4 year old girl... out of the 3, the girl helps, cruises and loves my truck the most!
