302 Rear sump oil pan Question.

So I am looking at a blueprint crate engine for my 73 dent but I believe it comes with a rear sump oil pan. Do I need to get a different oil pump to make a front sump work or is there more to it then that?

Not the pump, should just have to swap the oil pickup tube and screen.

If you do the front sump you will need dipstick in the timing cover and plug the hole in the block along with the proper pick up that matches the pan. Lots of possibilities with the timing cover. Best thing is get all the parts from 1 truck with same accessories, brackets, pulleys and water pump you want to end up with.
